2020.09.22 01:08 Ayeagerl [27M] [Relationship] M4F on a quest looking for "The One"

I'm Alex!
The following has been Typed up/edited sporadically, and most likely sound fumbled together by someone with a really fast-paced mind... Well... because It was... I don't sleep much.... 7hrs tops...
I've recently turned 27, and live on the East Coast (in Vermont). I'm about 5'6", I'm thin/fit and semi-good shape. I have a professional job that pays well (when it does pay), and that I wholeheartedly enjoy doing. I'm not the type of guy you're going to catch/meet on the dance floor of a club or party. I'll still occasionally would go to the club or go if asked. But, you're gonna find me sitting in the corner or at a table enjoying the music and watching everyone else dance while I think about the sounds and the effects the synths, bass, and other sounds playing and how they cause people to react and how it affects the danceflooroom. I can fix just about anything that isn't a car's engine, I can change a lightbulb, or change a sound speaker but anything. But if it's a computer, iPhone screen, a toy, or anything else I can probably figure out what broke fix it and/or make it better. It's very easy for me to go "down the rabbit hole" (should be a little obvious here)
Some hobbies I enjoy are writing music, listening to music (Huge Hip-hop/rap Fan but enjoy just about anything "fun" or involved an appealing beat), playing both competitive and casual pinball ( i love pinball) if we're somewhere and there is a pinball machine We're totally playing a game or checking it out at some point before we leave. I do play some video games, mostly on PC however, I do have an XB1 and PS4. But the PS4 has become a dust collector and the XB1 is solely for when I have friends over for Halo. I'd love to meet someone on the East Coast but open to anywhere within the US & Canada. There's a whole lot more about this that I'll bring up as we talk.
So.... Why am I here? I'm here? well because it feels weird not having met "her" a.k.a The one that sees exactly what I see with them a future and a family together
Physical attraction is somewhat important to me. I think the age rage I'd consider is 20-26. I'm more attracted to someone that's shorter than me than taller. (even in modest heels). my biggest turn off in a profile is if you nudes posted on your Reddit page. I want someone I can introduce to my family. They vary in opinions to very judgemental to they love me to accept me. YOu must be ok with same sex coupples also, No exceptions. I should also say that I'd like to be able to spend actual time with you in person at some point within a year or so to make it feel like its something real and not a penpal or something. I've met a fair number of women, but they don't tend to stick around for long. I typically get ghosted overnight, after talking for a few days or weeks. I want to get to know someone on a deep and eventually intimate level. I'm also a strong believer in the whole if you make time for me I'll make time for you ordeal. With that being said... I can be annoying/clingy but you tell me to chill or talk to me about it I'll let off. I really do want to have at least one child with whomever I end up spending the rest of my life with (marraige is the end goal (This is my end goal. I'm not looking to date casually)
That being said, If you become uninterested I'd rather have you speak up and tell me you aren't interested than please don't just ghost, just say so! it's easy! Just say "hey, your cool but I don't think we're a good fit for each other But thanks for talking good luck. (you can use that word for word and I'd be completely cool about it and not be upset! I've been getting ghosted WAY too much and honestly, it hurts and it's starting to get old. Hopefully, you're still here reading this and getting ready to message me. Please, include a picture of yourself and tell me something about yourself like a goal or somewhere you want to visit, or something you want to experience.
Anyways... I'd love to hear from anyone that thinks they are "the one" or are curious if we'd click. So DM/Chat me! I'd love to hear from you! I am fairly good at getting back to people!

2020.09.22 00:50 f0lk_blues I feel like my soul is empty and I am wasting my life

Doing in "greentext" because is more confortable and straight forward.

I am totally lost. Thinked about suicide sometimes, but is the old "I don't wanna make my mom sad" thing. All my childhood friends have jobs, knows how to drive, some are getting married. And I simple can't leave my home. In my bedroom almost all day (sometimes I go to the kitchen).
What a wasted life. I feel like my soul is empty. Never dreamed about a job (like my little brother who always wanted to be a doctor. I am...just...living), dont like nothing, dont believe in nothing. I don't have money to seek for help. My country have a publuc health system, but is a bad system and I don't trust (to be honest I spend most of my life thinking psychologist and psychiatrist are just a scam to "enslave me" and and become dependent on the pharmaceutical industry).
I don't even know if I have depression or other thing, I am just...tired of all this. I just want to be a functional member of the society and I don't understand why I can't.

2020.09.22 00:44 TheJumping_mind 28/28 [F4F] [MF4F] - looking for an awesome person online and local in Portland area to add to our relationship

Hiya! I am a (newly) poly female in my late 20’s. I’ve been happily married for 8 years. We (my husband and I) are looking to, eventually add a third, who is a female (Males will be ignored, so save us both the time).
This can start as just an “us” thing and him being casually involved or as all of us together depending on your preference and wants. This would be based more on being friends and good conversation than a purely sexual relationship, but would evolve as we all saw fit. We are looking to start online and in the future, as we are all comfortable, possibly meeting in person, but only when everyone is comfortable. We are currently located in the PNW but will be relocating early next year to the East coast.
A little more about me: I work with kids and am a huge Potter head (Ravenclaw through and through). I enjoy listening to music a little too loud in the car, exploring outside, reading with a hot cup of coffee with a splash of creamer and everything fall. I like to think I am super funny but I guess you’ll just have to see what I mean. I am slim thicc but love to be active and use my body. I workout regularly but will never pass up a good wine or beer. I am a progressive thinker, feminist and advocate.
My partner: He is into video games( mainly FPS), sports, going out (or staying in and watching movies). He enjoys all types of music, movies as well. He is funny, kind, and a good person to talk to. He is 5’11”, brown hair and beard, blue eyes. HWP. He won’t necessarily have to be involved, especially at the beginning, besides just interacting as friends and getting to know one another, if that’s what you would prefer.
Together we love to play board games, anything Harry Potter, trying new beers, drinking wine and eating good food.
We aren’t looking for someone to have all the same traits as us. We value being different. Makes for good conversation and connection. Send me a message and tell me a little about yourself. Please include your favorite: animal, color, thanksgiving food, fall scented candle and ideal stay at home date night.

2020.09.22 00:36 Metalshark2005 The Murder of Steve McNair: More Than Meets the Eye

Note: This is only a theory
I’m not one to believe too many conspiracies, but this one has always been on my mind and I’m shocked that not many people talk about it.
People involved: Steve McNair: Former NFL MVP quarterback, Steve is known mostly for being an electrifying star quarterback for the Tennessee Titans and later on, the Baltimore Ravens. He was involved in historic games that included the “Music City Miracle” game vs the Bills and Super Bowl XXXIV vs the Rams when his last throw was famously one yard short of sending the game into OT before time expired. Towards the end of his life, he was going through a nasty divorce with his then wife Mechelle and started sleeping around. He periodically stay in a condo which is where he’d bring his mistresses, including Sahel Kazemi.
Sahel Kazemi: Nicknamed “Jenni” by peers, was an immigrant from Iraq. She came to America in 2002, settling in Jacksonville, FL and eventually Nashville TN. Jenni was a waitress at a Dave & Busters when she started going out with McNair. She is the alleged murder in this case.
Adrian Gilliam: An Ex Convict, Gilliam was convicted of second-degree murder and attempted armed robbery during a gun fight with 3 other people in 1992 which ended up with one of his friends killed. He served 9 years out of 17 year prison sentence. He started a flirtatious relationship with Jenni around the time of the murder. He was the one who allegedly sold Jenni the murder weapon. He was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for illegal possession of a firearm after the investigation.
The story we heard: Steve McNair was killed in a supposed murder-suicide by Jenni in the early hours of July 4th, 2009. Jenni supposedly purchased a 9mm firearm from ex-con Adrian Gilliam in a Dave & Busters around 5:30 PM on July 3rd and was used in the killings. The body’s where found by Wayne Neeley, a close friend of McNair at 12:40 PM later that day. McNair was found with 4 gunshot wounds, 2 his chest, and one in each temple. Jenni was found with a single gunshot to the head at his feet. After 4 days of investigating, the official ruling was a murder-suicide at the hands of Jenni with a possible motive being jealousy after seeing used condoms in McNair’s bathroom trash can.
Why I’m skeptical: 1. Nobody who was close to the 2 casualties that came out publicly truly believe that it was a murder-suicide ranging from close friends of the two and to McNair’s own son.
  1. The investigation only lasted 4 days. For someone who was arguably the most popular man in the state of Tennessee since Elvis Presley, there’s no way the case should’ve ended that early. Especially one with this many inconsistencies.
  2. There’s no possible way in hell you can hide a fucking gun in a tight uniform that employees wear at Dave & Busters, especially when it’s crowded like the night of the supposed transaction without anyone noticing. It just can’t happen (This is probably my main reason btw)
  3. Adrian Gilliam was caught lying to the police on multiple occasions during the investigation. He faked an alibi, and claimed he didn’t know the person he was selling a FUCKING GUN to (which was proven false).
  4. Gilliam claims he doesn’t fully remember the date and time of the gun sale
  5. There no actual footage of the gun sale
  6. Jenni had never fire a gun before in here life up until this point and was only showed how to remove the clip. Yet, she’s able to shoot with stellar accuracy.
  7. Gilliam is the only one who claimed the sale went on.
  8. The Nashville PD refuses to release the crime scene photos, even at the request of McNair’s Mother.
  9. The main text messages from Jenni that police focus on are vague as all hell. With the 2 main ones being “I’m gonna have all of u soon” that she sent to Steve and “I should just end it all” which she sent to a friend. These could mean literally anything. Jenni did admit she was becoming unhappy with her relationship with McNair so the “end it all text” could’ve been talking about breaking up with him. And the “have all of you” message could’ve been seen as something involving sex.
What did I think actually happened: Once again, it’s a theory, but I believe that Adrian Gilliam should be the top suspect of the murder of those two people. Think about it, he was a proven liar, lived a life of crime beforehand, was experienced with guns, knew one of the victims personally, and possibly had a motive due to rejection.
Final notes: I’m wondering how y’all think of this. I’ve been a fan of Steve since I was a kid and I never knew about this theory until my teacher told me about last year. If you are interested in hearing more, I suggest checking out the “Fall of a Titan” podcast from Sports Illustrated (it’s shows up as “Lateral Damage” on Spotify) where they go more in detail about the whole thing. There’s so much more I can say about this. Hell, theres a theory that he was found with his own castrated penis in his mouth (which multiple people who where on the scene have different takes on).

2020.09.22 00:17 mariasean1 Is 128gb RAM overkill?

best laptop for watching movies and listening to musicLate to the party, but I’ll add my tuppence. For what it’s worth, my impression is that there’s currently no use for greater than 32 GB in a gaming computer, and at least half of that would be redundant most of the time. Assuming the motherboard has 4 memory slots, I’d start by using 2 x 8 GB RAM sticks.
If, at some future date, you think you could make use of more then there’s the option to add a further 2 x 8 GB (total 32 GB). No doubt software will eventually become so RAM hungry that you would need of even more, say an extra 2 x 16 GB instead, totaling 48 GB - but it’s easy to imagine that by that time the whole computer could be begging for replacement. My bottom line opinion: 16 GB is good for now. 32 GB is good for the effective lifetime of current high-end gaming computers. 48–64 GB is for tomorrow’s computers and for games still beyond the horizon.

2020.09.22 00:11 lybrick2china Losing my best friend to her controlling boyfriend

Just a disclaimer - I'm relatively new to reddit and suck at writing posts so please forgive me if this post is all over the place and lengthy, I'm just ranting.
CONTEXT-
I met my bestfriend online, we have known eachother since we were 15 and we are now 18(f). We live less than an hour away from each other so we were able to meet every now and then. When we were both 17 she started dating a guy that was quite frankly, not physically attractive. Now I don't want to judge people based on looks. For contextual reasons only, he was clinically obese (19 stone), a college drop out, a drug dealer a what British people consider a "chav". This guy had no redeeming qualities but she would be absolutely infatuated with him doing the bare minimum. Side note - he couldn't bring himself to compliment his OWN GF THE ENTIRE RELATIONSHIP.
My friend would often get bullied for being with him because she was by far more attractive than him and it was a massive mismatch. From quite early on I realised he was not a great guy, even though I had little interaction with him and hadn't met him in person. The nights she stayed at his house she would text me crying almost EVERY TIME telling me how badly she wanted to go home because he had done something to upset her or she was coerced to perform sexual acts on him. Ps - she couldn't go home because she didn't have the transport to. I always felt bad for her because this is what she thinks is love.
He would have to APPROVE of EVERY outfit she wore and EVERY outfit she wanted to buy if not he would sl*t shame her and tell her she was too embarrassing to be seen with , he wouldn't let her go to places or interact with other people, the list is far too long for me to type out. He forced her make a new snapchat account and she was only allowed to add who he approved of which were mostly his friends. He was also emotionally abusive and would try to scare my friend by fake dumping her while she begged and didn't sleep or eat for days on end. He would often tell her she would never find anyone half as good as him and she actually believed it! I would spend nights trying to console her on the phone till 5am about her break ups. We were like sisters and told each other everything. Everyone would tell her countless times that he is NOT good for her.
He talked badly of EVERY SINGLE ONE of her friends and successfully turn her against them. But then scream at her for having NO FRIENDS. One day when she finally arranged to meet a new friend she had made, he pretended everything was great until it was time for him to drop her off and he proceeded to shout at her the minute they get in the car (very tactical) about how she was selfish to go out with a friend. She was distraught & in tears so she had to cancel. He would even talk badly about her father who is a single dad recovering from cancer and another chronic illness. And I don't mean casually b*tching... he tried to turn her against her own father.
His friend actually tried getting in-between them, it almost worked. But when it failed, his friend bullied her and sent her horrible messages calling her ugly and anorexic. The best part is her boyfriend did NOT stick up for her and continued to be his friend without addressing anything. She was too scared to say anything.
STORYTIME
He would often call me weird but I hadn't spoken to him directly nor did I have him on social media. I am literally a NORMAL PERSON and have not said or done anything that could've made him feel this way. He berated me unprovoked when I was added to a large "motive" group chat. I could never figure out why he hated me. Whenever me and my friend would go to festivals he used to try and chaperone her telling her he is also going to buy tickets. He didn't even have the slightest interest in the genre of music and he said he would not be joining the crowds he just NEEDED to supervise us. Note that these were sold out tickets and resale value was 3x the original. For the record I was not going to festivals to meet guys. I am in a happy, healthy 3 year relationship. Of course I did not want to be supervised by somebody who lowkey BULLIES ME ONLINE. ALSO, Im an adult. I told my friend I wouldn't be comfortable with that and I would sell my ticket if her boyfriend didn't allow us to go alone. Fast forward a couple weeks later in another group chat, totally unprovoked AGAIN he sent in voice notes laughing at me telling everyone I have social anxiety and that's why I didn't want to go to the festival with him. 1) I have never claimed to have social anxiety or any type of anxiety for that matter. A few of his female friends added me to a separate group chat and bullied me for it, I blocked them all of course. I asked my bestfriend (his gf) why he would randomly come out with this LIE and she said that he had made it up to try and mock me infront of like 30 people (mostly his friends) because he doesn't like me (luckily the festival was cancelled because of covid anyway)
After this he told my friend that she was not allowed to be friends with me or he would break up with her for good. She didn't seem to have a problem with this, we kept our friendship secret for 3/4 months and she would unadd me or block me whenever she would go to his house & he checked her phone. I was her only bestfriend so I don't understand why, having already turned her against her other friends, I would have to stop "speaking" to her too. Our friendship was never the same after this point.
June 2020 they had broken up once again, he had sent her very malicious texts - the usual, him playing hard to get and trying to scare her. They were already on and off all week arguing. The main cause of the break up is because she finally had the courage to question why she wasn't allowed to be MY friend when he was openly posting HIS FRIEND on Facebook and how he "couldn't ask for a better mate"- the SAME guy who body shamed his girlfriend and sent her countless horrible messages. Of course he manipulated the situation. After two days of my friend balling her eyes out, she promised me she couldn't go back to him because of how badly he treated her and out of the thousands of times she said it, she "meant it this time". She said she was going to do this for herself in order to get her mental health back on track. I didn't believe her because she was clearly being emotionally abused so we knew she would inevitably beg for him back and play into his mind games regardless of how much I tried to help. By the third day they had gotten back together but it was a weird power dynamic where she had to prove herself to HIM in order for him to want to make it "official". She attempted to ask if he would allow us to be friends again since he was allowed to be friends with someone who bullied her. Without hesitating, he immediately refused and said he would rather cut contact with his own friend than allow for us to be friends (he wasn't actually going to cut contact). He never gave a reason for it but lets be honest there is no good reason for being controlling. He had just told her to "get over it" and to stop being a "child" "causing arguments".
She immediately switched up as if she had been brainwashed and told me it was "completely normal" FOR HIM TO CONTROL HER because they had been dating for a year and that's a "long time". We didn't speak for a couple days because I genuinely had nothing to say and couldn't believe how far gone she was. After almost a week she contacted me and told me, herself and her boyfriend had gotten into a big argument so I obviously I tried to be there for her even though I figured she was just using me for emotional support and did not care about anything going on in my life.
It became very apparent to me that she had turned on me and was being two faced. She would unadd me from her private stories and talk badly about me, posting cryptic quotes - basically what she did to all her old friends, so I was waiting for it. She would come back whenever she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend. After days of us not speaking and I would be added back to her private story. This happened more than 6 times so I finally addressed it and she kept saying she had just "forgotten". She was known to use people and had very on and off friendships with her ex best friends who she sometimes kept around when needed. Furthermore her excuses were pathetic and I just ignored it and resumed our friendship.
One weekend she had gone to her boyfriends house and hadn't added me back for a few days so I was really confused. I texted her and asked her why, she told me she had forgotten but she "would've remembered" whatever that means! We used to speak everyday without fail so I could tell something was up for months. I had clearly gathered enough evidence that she was being fake with me so I sent her a message no longer than 10 lines, telling her politely that I cannot support a controlling relationship and I heard she was talking badly about me on her social medias but I was past it I just no longer wanted to be in contact with her. She opened the messaged and immediately blocked me. I messaged her on instagram telling her it was unnecessary as I wasn't trying to pick a fight. She added me back for a minute. She thought it would be funny and intended to wind me up by only responding "ok". To which I replied "you really thought you did something there" and she said "no I just wanted to read the whole thing" which would imply she literally just deleted me without even attempting to read it. It made me feel really shitty that she had disregarded everything I had said and didn't even offer an explanation or some sort of apology for CLEALRY using me and talking smack about me. Since that day I never spoken to her again and she has not attempted to reach out. She is still with her toxic controlling boyfriend.
I cannot BELIEVE she used me and feels NO REMORSE. She didn't even attempt to keep me in her life and that's exactly why I did it, because I knew her boyfriend had successfully turned her against me. I do truly feel as though I deserved some sort of apology, I mean aside from throwing away a 3 year friendship for a guy who makes her miserable everyday. But at the same time she has a terrible dating history of letting boys mistreat her and cheat on her. There really is no conclusion or question, thanks for reading my rant.

2020.09.21 23:47 LifeWasaWasteland 23 [F4M] Online - Looking for a connection - think movies, voice calls, random pictures, and more!

I'd love to find someone as interested in receiving pictures of the sidewalk someone's walking on as much as me. Or who would love to watch a shitty horror movie or rom com together to make fun of. Or if nothing else just someone to talk to! I've been craving connection and conversation.
So now that I've told you what I want, I may as well talk about me.
The Demographics:
What I Like With An Overly Long Explanation As To Why:
What I'm Looking For:
Just my person. I don't mean that romantically necessarily. I'm not really trying to DATE someone - I just want to get to know someone. If more comes out of that, that's awesome, but it isn't the goal.
I want a person to watch horror movies with and make fun of awful rom coms. I want someone who cares about the little things in my day and is excited if I send them lame pictures of the boring mundane parts of my life just because they like being involved.
I'm looking for someone willing to voice chat. A lot.
Just a person who is willing to be there and WANTS to be there.
And who's between the ages of 23 and 35.

2020.09.21 22:21 ParkwayMetal 24 [M4F] NY - Let's attempt to improve one another's social skills.

Is that even possible? If.the parties involved are low-leveled, social outcasts, can we really "improve"? Well, that's fine, but maybe we can get something special out of it anyway, like comradary!
Since this is dating platform, I'll begin by listing some of my values/ideals for a relationship, but please note that I'm not experienced with intimate relationships, and limited in experience with platonic ones, so I've got a lot going for me.
If there's anything else you would like to make sure about me, please ask! I value a sense of directness, and admire those who are upfront about what they want, even though I'm inexperienced and doing my best to do my part there as well.
I'd like to have a relationship where we can just talk nonsense to one another, about our day and thoughts. Ideally someone who games! I'm an xbox player, but with the upcoming next gen I'm leaning more PS5, so if you also plan to go down that route then we can play to game together mayhaps?
I'd like if we could exchange music! I'm new to spotify, and my taste can vary greatly because I'll like whatever sounds good to me.
Anything geek culture related I'll be interested in talking about, even if I'm not particularly knowledgeable on a certain part. I'd like to get to know the person above all else, and we can exchange pictures early or down the line, I leave the option open!
Thank you for reading!
EDIT: Forget to add some physical descriptions: I'm 6'0, thin build, Latino American.
I'm also low maintenance and don't require too much, but I'll definitely match another person's pace to their comfort to the best of my abilities. Ideally I'd prefer someone local, but don't let that stop you if I happen to interest you in any way.

2020.09.21 21:54 DahWizEh Consideration: Developer's Heavy Reliance on Discord skews their view as to who/how people play.

For over a year now, bouncing between the three I've documented a trend. When SAR first rolled out, Pixile did as most upstart/young developers/creators do and answered questions with their best responses. As new moderators were selected and added, some of that changed obviously, as part of the role of Moderators is to distribute the load of public interaction.
The issue there, is that the trend I've documented (Yes, spread sheets with dates/times word/phrase matches), is that since the additional recruitment of moderators, questions/discussions in steam chat nearly always re-direct persons there to "Chat with us on Discord."
While that's a true answer, and that the Developers/Moderators are most active on Discord, and that Discord appears the most active out of Steam Discussions / Twitter / Reddit / Discord. The issue there is that players of the game, asking about the game, through the game's steam discussion largely read...the steam discussions. That is, if one checks out the 'front page' of steam discussions they'll see the sparse responses/replies/post as well as the trend of "Is game dead" questions.
When a potential new player comes to a game, while they may hear of it from youtube, from discord, from reddit, from twitter, they 100% have to go through Steam in order to player SAR. And knowing this, we can count the hoops player would have to jump through to join the discord community (if it's desired.) Yes, Discord is super easy, it has 'personality' with emotes, images, voice chat, etc. It's fan-tastic for those who enjoy the format. (It's like being at a bingo hall, sure people only need a card and stickers, but you'll be hard pressed not to see them with table cloths, music, lights, decorations.)
The issue there is that the SAR Discord community's level of interaction is not reflective of SAR's Game community's level of interaction.
"So what do you want?" Consideration. I offer no clear answers, just an awareness that may not be present at current among those that have the ability to influence.
Pixile, has 0 ability to get people to play. They can only influence. They do this in near limitless ways, with youtube, with reddit, with discord, with updates, even the visuals, sounds, etc. etc. all of that falls under the mega sphere that is 'influence' about SAR. But what Pixile does have the ability to do, is direct and focus of where how that influence is made.
"What do you mean?"
While Discord is the most lively, the Steam Store/Discussion page is where active players go to first join. Those two pages are reflective of the games player base is it is. Discord, while active and bustling with images, emotes, and reactions, doesn't correlate to the actual players of the game. What more, new players asking about the game in the Steam discussions are almost exclusively asked to 'Join the party over at Discord' as it were.
"Well there are more people there, and they talk more, and it's easier."

100% agree, that doesn't prevent the attraction of new players whose first impression of SAR is found on the Steam Store/Discussions page.
"Well, come on now, what do you want them to do? They can't make people use Steam, people naturally gravitate towards what works best for them."
This, is where Pixile does have the ability to direct their interactions with the public. They're young, and learning (so awesome to watch/participate in). They have polished their ability to release updates, and as far as Public Relations go, the 'guidelines/expectations' given for moderators is pretty evident. Responses from moderators on the Steam Discussion page is consistent, but it's quite lifeless.
Ex. Player: "Is this game dead?" Official Reply: "The community is always growing. Come join us out on discord! It's more active there!"
Spot on, that would appear to be a proper response. Discord is more active, the community is 'growing'. But that reply, may feel content in their reply since it does everything right...at a surface level. It's not malicious, it's genuine, it wants people to join. BUT, it entirely ignores the nuances of the question, "Is this game dead?"
When that question is asked, by a user, it's not from thin air. It's not a Eureka! Moment. It's instead a reaction to what SAR has publicly shown via their Steam Discussions page. Users won't (typically) ask that question if they're not experiencing/hearing those ideas.
The official response of "Come join us over here." again, while genuine, is not acknowledging why the question was asked. What more, it doesn't address, in action, how to resolve the issues present that first prompted that question!
At the very basic, a new player, with 0 clue about the community of SAR, asking via the Steam Discussions will largely feel the following: "This game is fun. I want to connect with other about this game. Let me try and connect to others through this game." They then use Steam Discussions/Store. It's there they see the lack of active and engaging community. "This is odd, game seems pretty awesome, wonder if anyone is out there. I'll ask." Then a steam discussion is posted, and the response is as shown above "We are active! Come join us over here."
Internally the new user asks, "While true, why isn't the community active here? What is wrong with here?"
And again, we can list the benefits of Discord and the like, but we can't deny the reality that the lack of active community on Steam Discussions is more concerning than the fact that "Oh, it's over here! No Lie."
"So what, what do you want?" SAR to be awesome, already done. Heh. I believe, one strategy that could help this current situation is to increase the cross social platform content.
Instead of defaulting to "Come join us on Discord." bring the discussions to Steam. "But we can't force people to chat on there." Nope...you can't, but you can, as moderators, share content from Discord onto Steam. Hell, screen shots of the 'Discord Party', quotes, and replies from discord, anything that shows DISCORD Community, not reacting out, but interacting with the Steam Community. Instead of the reality that is, "Come to discord, or you'll continue to be alone."
There have been months of private lobbies, hosted by select individuals in SAR. While mentioned occasionally in Steam Discussions, they are almost exclusively only able to be participated in via hounding the Discord Discussions (Those private lobbies are awesome, but they are, 100% super excluding to the masses.)
"What's all this got to do with SAR?"
Well, hopefully with the above 'ramblings' those who read can see how that live party on the Discord, they they know is there, with punch bowls and platform shoes, is not on Steam. What more, there is nothing on Steam Discussions that shows this. Only the eeriley similar invites to Discord found there.
And all that, being in the Discord SAR community, has created a bubble as to what the SAR community is. Yes, it's the most active, yes, it's the most 'senior'. Just that, shows that it's not the most young, and most inviting. "But we said come join us." yes, just the same as when Someone in a sky scraper 100km away from he says, "The party is on the top floor!", but everyone I talk to wlaking there has never seen the party, met anyone from the party, and really starts to wonder why, "If this party is so inviting, why isn't the party where new people will be?"
*laughs* I mean, even collegic social groups 'recruit' on campus, not at their homes to start with. Their social groups are seen where new people are, not just in the house where they reside.
Tanks for coming to my "Bob Talk" ~ The Knock-off-arm-chair version of Tedx Talk.
Praise Banan.

2020.09.21 21:37 EasilyDistractedTim ~~~~

Just sitting here making music while contemplating my lifes choices..
Last year I made out with my male boss, two of his 3 daughters and one of the daughters girlfriends..two of those in the same night..while at the same time dating two women and having consent of everybody.
I even did a halfway decent job of leading my team of six in sales and keep moral up through harsh restructuring.
And in that time build 3 high end gaming systems, one of them a present to my godsons (who is my biggest pride) mother.
I just finished Googles "IT Support Professional" course and spend half my life behind monitors anyway.
But I can't fucking get myself to believe that any freakin company would hire me for IT Support even on entry level..
Applications are a bitch because they need to get past my Ego.

2020.09.21 21:23 DazedandUnfazed Bought a gaming laptop msi gl65 leopard.

It has an intel core 10 gen 10750h rtx 2070 upgraded to 40 gb of ram 512gb ssd windows 10. On certain games I don’t get too many frames even though the computer is past the recommended specs such as overwatch and a point and click game black sad, and resident evil 2, I’m not super familiar with computers but I have made sure everything as up to date and on my nvidia app I have made sure it is turned to performance with everything on ow being on low, I still only get sometimes about 40-60 FPS while other times I seem to get 80 FPS max and usually it is jumping about 20 FPS the whole time. I have never overclocked as that makes me nervous with a laptop cooling wise, and I checked in task manager to see how my ghz it says it goes up to 4.18 ghz, and I read the intel boost should be on default and that I should be getting roughly 5.0 ghz. My dxdiag tool just says it’s running at 2.6 ghz. Is there some setting I need to turn on? My dragon center from msi is on extreme performance and I just am unsure of what to do I have seen benchmark games tested on this particular comp with just 16 gbs of ram default and they seem to run at almost twice my frames if not more in some cases. I found some videos and adjusted some setting in nvidia and dragon center to try to boost performance so far nothing. I also dual monitor but don’t really have many apps open only discord, the game, steam, Logitech, and maybe a browser for music.

2020.09.21 21:21 blackfridayswitch13 READ ME: Part 3

READ ME: Part 1
READ ME: Part 2
It was a few days of me relaxing just taking in the mellow mood that our Cecily- turned sea creature left me with her musical talents. Cecily also gifted me with a relaxing feeling.
It helped my anxiety in a way I can’t explain. I fed Doby, the fish I confiscated from the magical book, and bought him a new tank for my kitchen. I think he was another gift from Cecily. I was just happy I was able to put her soul to rest.
I spent all that Saturday setting up the sea salt tank fit with plants. Typically, it took time to set up a tank, but I didn’t exactly have time to do that with Doby. I even got him a few companions to keep him company.
Then a few days later, as I was feeding Doby admiring the new purple and turquoise blue decor, I felt a sudden need to cut my wrist. I felt like I was in a trance.
I walked over to the kitchen, opening the drawer pulling out a sharp knife, I began slicing my arm. I didn’t bleed much, but I had this overwhelming, depressing feeling coming over me. Then I heard my television pop on all by itself.
There was a news story about a young girl about sixteen years old that had gone missing. The report was dated three years ago. I knew then it was the book. Dropping the knife, I ran to get a paper towel and some alcohol to clean the wound I created.
I heard guns firing lasers, and I saw a blue light illuminating from the book. I took a big gulp; what was I getting myself into?
I opened the book to THE MURDER SHOW, which was the next story I was to read, and took a deep breath. I looked down and could see a tiny television featuring two teenagers playing a video game in a room. It was like I was watching a movie. One of them had short bleach blonde hair, the other had long black hair, and I recognized her as the missing teenage girl from the news that had just been featured on my television.
Instead of reading this story, I was watching it. I was hearing her voice inside of my mind, or maybe it was out loud. I couldn’t tell anymore.
I looked at the pages before me. They were turning on their own like an old fashioned picture book. I watched a girl as her eyes turned and faced me.
She had black hair, dark eyes, and pale skin. She had a black t-shirt on with a ton of bracelets. Her thin face was pretty, but she didn’t smile.
Instead, I could do nothing except listen to the story titled:
THE MURDER SHOW
My name is Andrea Becker, and as long as I could remember, I wanted to die.
I know it sounds strange, but I looked at death as that permanent nostalgic return to your soul.
I swear I’m not a freak. I know I look the part, don’t get me wrong. I am cliche for someone my age.
Let me begin by telling you how it all began.
When I was ten years old, my grandparents were visiting from out of town. My grandmother was taking a shower, and when she got out, she screamed for my mother as she was having chest pains. She fell over onto the bathroom floor. The EMT’s were there in record time; maybe it was slow- I just know it was all a blur. I watched them trying to bring my grandmother back. My grandpa wasn’t home; he had gone shopping with my dad and older brother. So, I had a front-row to the tragic end of a woman I had loved so much.
Then I knew the exact moment she died. I saw her ghost or her soul, whatever you believe. It floated out of her body, and it LOOKED at me! My grandmother’s spirit looked at me and smiled. I knew then everything would be fine, but it wasn’t about me. It was about how at peace she was. I longed for that peace.
I lost my grandpa a few years later, but my grandmother’s death stuck with me. I started reading everything in the end. I knew it wasn’t simple science like some claim. You do leave your body when you die. Where you go is anyone’s guess, I just know what I saw that day my grandma died.
I had never considered killing myself. That was too weird. Then one day, my best friend, Carla, told me she liked to cut herself. She showed me her scars on her wrists. I was taken back by her self-harm.
“What if you go too deep?” I asked her.
“I have a couple of times, but I have gotten good at stitching myself up,” she smirked.
“Doesn’t it hurt?” I asked her.
“Yeah, but sometimes it is the only way I can feel things. I just feel like the world gets to be too much sometimes, and I want to escape it. I just don’t want to die.”
That is when I looked at her. “I have always wanted to die,” I said tears in my eyes.
“What you mean, like kill yourself?”
“No, just be at peace.”
“I feel at peace after I feel that rush. Like I get a rush from the pain for a second, and it makes me less - I dunno how to explain it.”
“I get it,” I said, and my friend had become my best friend.
I never told her, but I started self-harming after that. I had to know if it would give me the peace that I longed for when my grandmother showed me that look in her eyes. Like AT LAST, she could rest!
Sadly, over the next few years, Carla and I stopped being so close. She started hanging with a posh stuck up crowd. I still craved death. There was little in common with the mean girls' squad.
At seventeen, I had become close friends with a guy named Paul, whom I had a lot in common. We both enjoyed Mr. Fraziers English class, played tons of video games, and enjoyed hacking.
Not like professional hacking, just silly stuff like the local website to our local pizza shop. We hacked into it to say that all the prices had been reduced to 99cents. Silly kid stuff. We were never caught.
Then one day, Paul came over with two of his laptops.
“I have to show you something.” He said to me, excitedly.
“You ever been on the dark web?”
I shook my head. “No way!”
“It isn’t all weirdos; I buy stupid shit on there like electronics. Lots of black market stuff. It isn’t all organs and creepers doing things to people.”
“You aren’t messing with those sites, are you?” I asked him, concerned.
“No, I just found one, though. I can’t tell if they are serious. It’s called THE MURDER SHOW.”
“What the hell, Paul?”
“No, I have everything blocked. They can’t find us. I wanted you to see these comments. It freaked me out.”
“You are on the DARK WEB PAUL!” I retorted.
“Listen, just look at this. Can this be real?”
I hesitated and then took his laptop and looked at the site. It was a chat room.
I read a few of the posts they talked about murder and the best way to do it. Then I read on.
Der786: YOU READY, RANDY? One poster asked.
RANDY01: YEAH JUST DON’T HURT ME TOO MUCH. Another user name responded.
Der786: YOU GET THAT INSURANCE FILLED OUT?
RANDY01: MY WIFE WILL NEVER WANT FOR ANYTHING EVER AGAIN.
What the hell?
Paul grabbed the laptop. “They let themselves be murdered for entertainment.”
“On purpose?”
“Yeah, one guy had cancer and didn’t want to live anymore. It even says on the disclaimer that this is the Doctor Kavorkian of murder sites. It is all pity kills. They won’t do it to healthy, happy, or well-adjusted humans. You must prove you are worthy, and they will do the cleanup, so no one ever finds out.”
“It is real. Turn it off, Paul.”
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to freak you out. I just thought you would think it was at least interesting.”
“It is scary and unfortunate if I’m honest.”
Paul’s cell phone rang.
“Sorry, mom, yes, I forgot. I’m with Andrea. I’m coming.”
I looked at Paul, and he ran out and left.
He was gone, and so I continued playing a new video game that I had bought with my allowance.
I wasn’t paying any attention when I heard someone say, “I see you.”
Huh? I said to myself.
“You there! Girl with the black hair!”
What the hell? Then I realized that Paul had left his stupid laptop on the floor of my bedroom, and it was still on that silly murder site!
I peeked over my bed and looked down at the laptop, and just as I was about to close it, a man spoke again.
“Don’t close it yet; you had to come here for a reason. Why don’t you tell me what brought you here.”
“I- I didn’t. My friend found it by accident, and we weren’t interested in the site.”
“That is okay, so you were curious. Can I answer any of your questions?”
This was getting too weird for me.
“I am good. I think I get it.”
“Look, I get it. It’s real live dark web shit. I’d want to close the laptop and burn it too. Only I have seen you. How do you know I haven’t already tracked your address? How do you know I am not using facial recognition to figure out exactly who you are, Andrea Becker.”
He said my name. How did he know my name?
I was going to kill Paul.
I picked up the laptop and looked at the man who didn’t look like your typical weirdo. He was sitting at a desk wearing a polo shirt. He had a friendly smile and kind eyes. Suddenly I felt comforted instead of creeped out, and I didn’t know what it was.
“My name is Milton. I founded this site to let people let out a little bit of carnal steam. Tell me about yourself.”
“This is weird. I don’t know you.”
“Okay, I’ll begin. I’m married. I am a father of two kids. Jessica and Jenna. I work in management. This is just a side thing. I can assure you I am every bit as human as you are. So tell me, why do you wish to die, Andrea Becker?”
At that moment, it was like he had spoken to my heart. No one had ever spoken so honestly to me before. It was like having someone see your soul. At that moment, I thought, this is fate.
“Peace.”
I found myself speaking honestly, and even if I regretted it later, I couldn’t help it. It was nice to see that someone could read my mind. At least it felt like that.
“I think most of us who are empathic to the ways of the world feel the same way you do.”
“Yeah, I guess.” I sat up straight and leaned into the screen on my laptop.
I was beginning to feel much more comfortable than I had thought I ever would. It was strange to trust someone on the dark web like this, but there was something about this man. He had a hold over me.
“Tell you what, we are holding an event tonight at eleven, and I hope you will log on to join us to see what we are all about. I promise it isn’t what you think.”
“I will have to check it out,” I said, partially wondering if I wanted to have anything more to do with this man.
The screen went black, and I shut Paul’s laptop.
I decided to go downstairs to grab a wine cooler out of the fridge. It was almost ten o’clock, and my parents were asleep, so I knew I wouldn’t get in trouble.
I drank the crappy drink, thinking long and hard about what had transpired and wondering if I wanted to know what went on in this so-called murder show.
It was five till eleven, and my cowardice was in full force, so I turned on the television.
“A WHITE VAN IS THE SUSPECT IN THE MISSING TEEN’S DISAPPEARANCE IN FRANKLIN COUNTY. WITNESSES SAY THEY SAW YOUNG JAMES MADISON TALKING TO SOMEONE DRESSED AS A CLOWN AS HE WAS ON HIS WAY TO SCHOOL FRIDAY MORNING…”
I turned off the disturbing news program deciding I would see the big deal with this “murder show.” There could not possibly be any reason for this nice man I had talked to be part of some sympathy murder thing.
The screen was still black, and then I saw a small room come into focus. The chat room was coming alive with flower emojis, and last-minute thank yous and best wishes from viewers who were donating bitcoin to the website’s owner.
Then I saw a man sitting in a chair and typing away at his computer. Something oddly terrifying about it was because the viewers seemed to see it, but the man didn’t seem to have anything to do with the viewers as though he didn’t even know he was being watched.
I watched as some of the viewers suddenly were also aware of this fact.
RHONDA24: Do you think he even knows this is the last night on earth?
Davtelly45: Nope, that is how it works.
RHONDA24: I know, but I thought he would be more prepared. He has been with us so long here.
Davtelly45: He will die soon, but he will be better off.
RHONDA24: No more cheating wife, no more debt, and no more anxiety about what tomorrow will bring.
Sassy-maria: I’m so happy for him.
Davtelly45: Me too, girl.
IVANfist: I hope this one is bloody, though. I like them with a little bit of gore.
RHONDA24: I have to admit I do too. Maybe he will get slashed on the throat.
Davtelly45: I just want our boy to be happy.
IVANfist: Fuck that gore all the way!
I read the chat, and then I watched as the man sitting at his computer seemed to be working on something very intensely. That is when I heard what sounded like a doorbell ring. The man everyone was watching got up, and walked away. I guessed to answer the door.
Then I heard the sound of someone yelling. A man with a black mask on was soon dragging the man who had just been sitting at the computer into his office.
“No, I have changed my mind! Please, I don't’ want to-”
His throat was slashed in front of the computer. The slash was so deep it nearly decapitated the man who was only moments ago typing away at his laptop.
I gasped, watching the scene unfold before me. Then the chat room exploded.
RHONDA24: Bye, Randy. We will miss you.
UNKNOWN: no, we won’t.
Davtelly45: SO long, Randy. I hope you can now be at peace.
UNKNOWN: Randy will never be at peace now. Hope he rots in hell.
Davtelly45: WHo is this?
RHONDA24: I will miss Randy, but anything will be better than dealing with a cheating wife, too much debt, and not knowing what tomorrow will bring. I long for my day to rest.
UNKNOWN: You should just put yourself out of your misery.
Davtelly45: Seriously, what the hell? Guy, this is pretty insensitive. We are celebrating the life and death of a warrior.
There was some strange interference, and I shut off the laptop, unplugging it.
I texted Paul to get his stupid laptop, and he told me he would be over tomorrow to get it.
I was sick to my stomach.
Had a real-life murder just taken place?
I knew without a shadow of a doubt it had.
I was paralyzed with fear and yet oddly jealous. I secretly wished I would be able to feel that peace that Randy felt. It terrified me, though, to no end.
\***************
I woke up the next morning and prepared for school. I had strange dreams of the people on the computer screen. I had dreams of them talking about me the way they had Randy.
I was sweating when I got out of bed, and I readied myself for school and what the new day would bring.
Paul came over after school to get his laptop, and I made sure I didn’t mention what happened the night before. I just wanted that website out of my life.
Paul seemed unphased by the fact I had his laptop. He had a few, so what was one going missing?
Following that incident, I stayed off my computer as much as possible. Then I had to log onto my own laptop to finish a school project about two weeks later.
When I logged into my email, there were many messages from a person that called themselves FALCON.
“Andrea Becker, this is FALCON, Milton wanted me to let you know that he knows you logged on to watch Randy transition, and he wanted to see how you were since viewing our little show.”
I deleted the messages. I didn’t want anything to do with these weird people.
As I had this thought, I got an instant message from MILTON.
Milton: Andrea, I am sorry you seem alarmed by Randy’s transition. Tell me, how did that make you feel? It is okay to feel scared, terrified, sad, angry, or all of the above.
I looked at what he was typing, and that same sweet consoling man made my guard go down. I would have asked him how he got my email, but I already knew that if it were easy for them to get my name, how much harder would it be to get my email?
Milton: Andrea?
Me: Hello, Milton. I don’t know how I feel about what I saw. I don’t think I want anything to do with this.
Milton: Andrea, talk to me.
Me: I don’t know what to say. You killed a man.
Milton: Yes, but he wanted it. We helped him transition. We can help you.
I looked at what he was saying. I had wanted so badly to feel at peace and lose all of my earthly worries, but this was too much too fast.
Me: I have to go to Milton.
Milton: Andrea Becker, reconsider. You don’t have to participate, but we are people that understand you. I read your online diary, your poetry, and I know what you wish for.
I was stunned and felt violated. How did they hack into my online diary? It was private thoughts on my blog site I never made public. I was terrified, and then Milton said something else that made me reconsider.
Milton: I have seen your interactions with others. We have watched you interact with your friends. We know it wasn’t you that initially found our website. We don’t care. We welcome you. We only ask that you keep our little secret to help others like yourself, and like Randy.
I don’t know what made me do it. I began to trust Milton. For the first time in my life, I didn’t feel weird about my feelings on death. These people seemed to understand.
Me: I feel so weird talking about it.
Milton: It is hard to acknowledge your feelings at first, but once you do, you will begin to understand.
Me: Are there others like Randy?
Milton: We try not to allow too many transitions at once. We give people time to mourn in our community after someone transitions. We have another coming up at the end of the month. This person has yet to be named.”
Me: How does it work?
Milton: We take a vote on who is next. Once the vote is in, the nominee gets contacted through a congratulations email to give them time to tie up loose ends. Then they are not told the day or time of their death. We feel that it would ruin the transition.
Me: What if they change their mind?
Milton: They are given no way to back out. It is in our clause. If you are on track for transition, which I feel you are, just being a part of our community is an agreement. You have already witnessed a transition - an illegal act. So you have already agreed to the clause.
Me: What about you?
Milton: What about me?
ME: Can you transition?
Milton: I will in time. My agreement was after my children will be old enough to understand. Once they are, then I will join others like Randy and you.
“Oh,” I typed
Milton: I have to go now; it was nice chatting with you. Remember, if you ever need someone to talk to, we are here. We understand how you feel.
He logged off the chat, and I sat in front of the chat. Then another name popped up.
RHONDA24: Hello, Andrea.
I didn’t respond right away.
RHONDA24: I just want to let you know if you ever need a friend. I am not much older than you, and I get how you feel. You can reach out to me.
Me: Thank you. I have to go now.
RHONDA24: Have a great evening, Andrea.
I logged off the computer.
#############
As time wore on, I realized that I enjoyed the community. I had made a few friends within the community. I had several bad days in the last month; one of them was that I had a falling out with Paul. He was angry with me for spending time online in the “transition” community as I had learned to refer to it as.
The community helped me overcome some of my anxieties, so I didn’t think so much about dying anymore. If anything, I wanted to live because I felt relieved that I now had a group that understood how I felt. After all, they felt the same way as me.
Then the day came out of nowhere. I was planning my graduation speech, as I had been elected by Mr. Frazier to give my class a short address. I typed, re-typing, and over-editing everything I was writing when I got a ding on my computer.
My email popped up, and I recognized the email address. It was from FALCON.
CONGRATULATIONS ANDREA BECKER YOUR COUNTDOWN TO TRANSITION BEGINS 5-4-3-2- NOW.
I gulped reading the email because I didn’t feel the way I had before. I didn’t want to panic. This had to be a mistake. I was no longer depressed; I had things to live for now. Why had they voted on me transitioning?
I saw that Milton was online.
ME: Milton? I think you made a mistake. I am the least qualified to transition. Especially that now I feel so much better!
Crickets could have chirped from the computer. Instead of responding as Milton had hundreds of times before, he ignored me and logged off.
This was a nightmare. I stood up, looking around my room.
Indeed, I’d have time to graduate. I was at the disadvantage of being home alone. My parents were at some Union banquet because my father was on the teamster's board. I got up from my computer desk and locked all of the doors and secured the doors.
I turned on the radio to think. There was a story on the radio about a White Van and how another child had been missing. Another witness saw someone dressed as a clown talking to the child.
Ugh! Not something I needed to know to hear right now. I flipped the station to some soft music. Sarah Mclachlan came on, so I left it. I needed to think. I logged into the chat, and I could see all the congratulations Andrea comments in the chat.
ME: Hey guys, I think there is a mistake.
RHONDA24: Congratulations, Andrea!
DAVTELLY45: I hope you have the best transition.
UNKNOWN: I hope you bleed into the camera for daddy.
ME: WHAT?
Who would say such a thing?
UNKNOWN: I can’t wait to cut you from ear to ear.
RHONDA24: DUDE! Get out of here!
I got a private chat request from Rhonda24.
I accepted it.
Rhonda24: Don’t sweat it, Andrea. The guy is some weirdo that has been harassing a bunch of us. We can’t block him. He has this crazy firewall system. Just please know how happy I am for you and how much I will miss you.
I couldn’t think of anything else to say.
I was about to log off when there was a bang from outside my house.
Before I could do anything, a stranger wearing a black mask burst through my bedroom door. I stood in pure terror and shock.
It was happening now!
I did the only thing I could think of and grabbed the desk chair in front of me, and flung it at the stranger.
He was tall, thin, and didn’t seem to have been prepared for my sudden means of survival.
He lurched forward and grabbed me by the throat. I could feel his large hands trying to suffocate me. I looked over to the computer and saw it had popped back on - all on its own accord. A red light flashed on the screen. I realized I was being recorded for someone’s amusement.
The darkness engulfed me in this very moment, and I sprung up, kicking the man in the groin.
He growled in pain, and for a moment, I had time to run but not for long before the man stood up and shut my bedroom door so I had no means of escape.
He pulled out a knife from behind him, and I looked around my room to find something else I could defend myself with. I saw a coffee mug, grabbing it and throwing it at his head. To my luck, he stopped to rub his head, and I barreled past him towards the door.
Then I was caught off guard by a swiping of the knife to the back of my leg, causing me to scream in pain.
I hit the ground, and he went for my throat with the knife. I rolled over quickly, causing him to stab the floor instead of me.
I kicked him in the head this time as he struggled to get the knife out of the wooden floor. He fell to the ground, and for a moment, we both worked with the knife. Finally, I managed to grab it and stab him inside the chest.
The struggle was over. Someone had transitioned tonight, but it wasn’t me. It wasn’t going to be me. I had far too much to live for. I took a deep breath and then took off the mask of the man.
To my utter despair, it was Paul. How had Paul gotten involved with trying to kill me?
It all made perfect sense now how they all had known so much about me. Still, Paul had been my best friend for years. I ran downstairs to find my cell phone and call for 911.
The dispatcher said they would be sending for someone as soon as possible.
I saw a large white truck coming towards my house, barreling down my street. I jumped into the road, flagging them down.
There was something strange about the truck. I realized when the headlights were no longer blinding my vision that it wasn’t the ambulance. I backed up onto the sidewalk and continued to look down the street for the ambulance. The truck did something strange, though. They stopped in front of me back up, so my view down the road was blocked.
A door to the back of the truck opened up.
There were two tall men dressed as clowns. One had blue hair and a red nose with what looked like blood around his mouth and dirty teeth. He grinned big at me. The other had on a red and yellow wig with green makeup. He looked more sinister than the other clown.
They stood looking at me, and then circus music began to play. I was annoyed by whatever joke they were trying to play, especially at a time like this. I could hear the ambulance now as it was making its way down my street. I tried to walk around the two stupid clowns. It was all so ridiculous to me.
That is when one of them grabbed me. I screamed for them to let me go! I had to help Paul! Then the other one helped get me by the legs. Before I knew it, I was no longer breathing.
I, Andrea Becker, died that night. I won’t bore you with the details. It was gruesome, and it was horrid. I have been missing for three years. I hope someone can see my story and relay what happened to me.
I’d like my parents to be able to have peace. We all deserve some peace.
I saw the book close on its own then. There were tears in my eyes as I read the last words of Andrea Becker.
I wasn’t sure how I could help, but I went over to my computer. There were numerous reports on the sightings of clowns in connection to missing children. I decided to search for the area combining missing person cases from around the region. I didn’t know how I was suddenly able to hack into systems using multiple databases, but I was doing it. For Andrea Becker’s sake, I was doing it.
That is when I found something very crucial. There were several sightings recently in my neighborhood. There were also six missing persons in a five-mile vicinity. I clicked, I typed, and I searched until I put the connections together. In all of the disappeared persons, there were three bodies found. One was of a seventeen-year-old female.
I knew without a shadow of a doubt that it would be the remains of Andrea Becker’s young body. I forwarded the information to the detective working the case. How had they not put it together on their own, I had no idea. I did now have gifts now that helped me help those who could not help themselves.
Later that night, there was a break in three of the missing person cases. No thanks to me. I was tired after Andrea Becker’s story.
That book never rests, though. Last night in the middle of the night, I heard music coming from somewhere.
It woke me from a dead sleep. I decided to find out what the matter was. It sounded like circus music.
I walked into my living room, and parked in front of my house was a white van with clowns in the driver's seat. I stared at them for a long while and then opened my front door.
Two maniacal clowns got out of the back, and as they slowly made their way towards my house, I let out a deep breath. Then I yelled.
I was using my new found thunderous gift their windows to the van all burst. They both held on to their ears as though they were in pain. I had no doubt why they were here.
I heard someone yell, “HELP ME, PLEASE!” It was a woman.
I became momentarily distracted by the sound of wailing behind me. Sad, painful wailing.
I looked away from the clown van towards the READ ME book on my couch. When I looked back toward the street, the van with the clowns was now long gone. I would see to it they were punished, but until then, I had other pressing business.
I picked up the book, and inside it, I read the chapter to the next story.

2020.09.21 21:16 luvina12 30[F4M] Im looking for a serious relationship

Hello there! Here I am, writing this post in the hopes that I'll find that someone I've been searching for. It's been a hard search but I'm not giving up just yet.
So a bit about me I suppose:
- I'm 5’7 average/athletic build, long dark and brown eyes.
- My ethnicity is Black, Italian and American Mostly Black and Native Italian I've got a huge variety when it comes to my taste in Gaming is a part of my life so I do appreciate my time to myself. But I'll neglect it if I find the right man
- My taste in music is very indiscriminate, so I'm ALWAYS down to listen to new things.
- I'm an introvert. But I'm a great listener and give pretty good advice sometimes. I'm kind of blunt though so it's not . I feel like physical touch is an awesome way to show someone how you feel about them.
- If I sound nonchalant, please don't take it to heart. I'm not good with expressing my thoughts/emotions in words. It's actually pretty hard for me to figure out how to even write this haha.i am a Christian so I go to church all Sunday’s
- I guess adding to the above fact, I'm not very outwardly emotional. For a lot of people, it kind of makes me hard to read and I can understand how that can be kind of frustrating. It stems from some things that have happened in my life. I can go into my detail, if you care to know, of course.
What am I looking for? Nothing oddly specific. In fact, be yourself. I'm attracted to diverse personalities, and people who are both unlike me, or very like me. Sometimes being able to relate is a blessing or a curse. Depends on what we take from it, I guess. You don't gotta be a 10 in the handsome department, or even a perfect being. I, myself, am not perfect. Infact, come at me with all your imperfections, I bet you I could find something to love about you.
most people honestly wouldn't even know it. Am I looking for sex? Nah, not looking for it. But I do love it. I love the idea of pleasing the man that I'm with. But I don’t feel anything if I don’t love you so I don’t just go to bed with you unless I’m in love with you, You realize things about each other physically that, at the end of it, you come to enjoy about them. If I'm able to physically show you how much I appreciate understand not everyone's down for that. Not something I can change about myself sadly lol. I'm not someone who talks back at my man like that though. If that's what you wanna talk about, you initiate. I'm all about respecting boundaries, and there's plenty more things to talk about
I can be very adventurous with the right person. I like to go on dates and be out with the one I care about. I can also be very attentive to the feelings of my man and I do my best to listen. I, of course, would just like the same in my partner. Well I love to grow old with the man I finds here and I pray never to get married and get a divorce most white ladies do that but believe us blacks we have self respect of the man Loyalty and Honesty 100%.
So let's get to know each other, possibly go on a date, and talk about our favorite music, etc.

2020.09.21 20:21 Zechirasium I'm a horrible person who shouldn't be alive

I hate my life. I know it's selfish as fuck because I have food and shelter and education and all that but I just hate my life. My personality is messing everything up and I've have dedicated myself to certain things that have messed up my life so much but I'm too scared to let go because I won't have anything left.
I'm 16 and from the UK and I've just started college. Everyone keeps pressuring me to figure out my life quickly so I wont have dead end jobs and all that and it's making me worry a lot about my future. I'm really shy too. I can't go to the shops by myself, I can't pay for things, I can't even speak to my teachers or ask for help and I can't have normal conversations with my family and that's scary because I can't be independent.
Anyway, I started college doing game design. I have no friends and I can't start a conversation. Everyone in my class are much more smarter than me and more creative. I feel like I don't belong there and I've just lost a lot of motivation. I have no passion for anything though, I wanted to take music but then changed my mind because of the music GCSE stress. I'm always finishing my work the day it's due or just not doing it at all because I don't see the point.
This is where I'm going to sound like a cunt. I met this girl 3 years ago on the internet and we've been dating on and off since then. It's hard because I know I'll never meet her in real life and she is the only person I actually love (It sounds stupid cuz I'm 16). Anyway she kind of cheated on me this year and because I was friends with the person she cheated on me with, I had to watch them do all their relationship shit and now I have a lot of anxiety and trust issues and if the person doesn't message me in a few hours I get nervous and think she's cheating or has lost interest. Anyway this is where I'll sound like a cunt. I got a new girlfriend in real life but I lost feelings and don't know how to end it and I've started somewhat dating the girl that cheated on me? I don't really know what me and her are but I'm cheating on my girlfriend basically. I don't know why but I always go back to that girl. I know I'm a shitty person but I don't know how to tell my girlfriend I don't love her. (hopefully this paragraph makes sense) As I'm typing this I feel like all my worst fears about the relationship will come true and that makes me sound weird but yeah.
Basically, I'm a horrible, useless, stupid, insecure person and I know I deserve the worst punishments or whatever. I started self harming again and I've thought and fantasized about killing myself every single day for the past 3 months and because of my weird shyness, I'm too scared to get help.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day.
